Your Favorite Edison Cylinder Machine

It is indeed a tough question to answer. Among my machines I play my Standard model D with a cygnet horn probably more than the others. It will play anything and after much work and adjusting, runs very smooth and quiet. The other would be the V which is the smoothest, quietest machine I have heard, even more so than my Opera. With the N56, it will play anything 4 minute.

For versatility it would still probably be the Standard.

Well it is pretty hard to limit my favorite to just one machine so I am not going to. Here are my three favorite machines. I really love the look of the Early Spring Motor Phonographs and my Triumph model A comes next!!

I wish I could give a straight response here, but...I just can't! Although, I do have a soft spot for the dolls. Pictured is one of our complete, unrestored Edison Talking Dolls. Arguably, we consider the complete dolls an example of some of the rarest remaining Edison artifacts that survive to this day. And to imagine that such an item has survived for nearly 125 years never ceases to amaze me.
It is difficult to over-look the early lyre-grill Amberola 1-A and Opera that have matching serial numbers of "66".

I never cherish the machines that I already have and I always admire others' collection. Here is the problem. . . lol
My Edison Concert is the answer since it's "gigantic".
