Okay, I'm out on a limb here (as usual), but I really need to know...does anyone else give their phonographs names? I've got, among others, Carlos Credenza, Eldora and D'Zweet, and Chuck.
Am I...completely insane?
Do you give your phonographs names?

Nope. I do not give my phonographs and gramophones names.

After posting my comment on boiling springs and baking them in the kitchen oven, naming gramophones sounds pretty tame to me. We are all naturally aware that collecting things is a mild form of insanity anyway...
But, no, I don't name my machines, nor I talk to them. I listen to what they tell me, though.

No I don't give my machines names. Most of them already have names inside their lids.
I don't even name my cars, but my wife christened my Armstrong Siddeley "Hissing Sid" after it blew a radiator hose in spectacular fashion, sending water and steam everywhere.

No, I don't name my phonographs. I let them speak for themselves.
