Amberola 1-A, Serial #2 "Old #2" ---------- DONE!

Post by MicaMonster »

WELL! What a strange journey it has been! The grille is done, and toned, and I am EXHAUSTED.

So, let's take a short journey back in time to see what this monster was when it was a monster:

Many thanks again to John Maeder, George Paul, and Tim Fabrizio for their assistance in getting Old #2 back up on its feet.

And now, um, close your eyes! :) BAM!

And now, to approach the Edison Historic Site and see if they have any further documentation in their paper archive!

...And "Number Two" has been resurrected exactly a century (probably to the month) after it was originally built! Congratulations, Wyatt!

Wyatt,

I’m not sure I want to know how many hours that took you to complete, but the results are quite impressive, and I am sure that they were well worth the time (and that you’re very proud of your accomplishment).

Great job, and thank you for sharing all of the in-progress photos!

This is so well done. You should make a little book that you hide in the phonograph to document its transformation. it adds the collector to its history .
