Re: WHAT IS WRONG HERE?
From the limited view of the picture it looks like a Triumph F repainted bedplate top works. If it happened to be a Model G, that would be a real find.

Re: WHAT IS WRONG HERE?
The data plate clearly shows this to be a Model F.
Being No.89036, it's one of the first Fs, and it's equipped with the 2-spring motor which is why the controls differ from earlier Triumphs.

With the latest close up of the ID plate it also looks like the original paint.

Re: WHAT IS WRONG HERE?
That was my same question.....
I would think that a Model "F" would have the later style wooden case.... No??

Re: WHAT IS WRONG HERE?
Being a Model A cabinet, it's not proper for a Model F mechanism.Amberola wrote: Would the case be wrong?

That's what I thought. A model F in a model A case? And it is a 2 spring motor.phonogfp wrote:Being a Model A cabinet, it's not proper for a Model F mechanism.Amberola wrote: Would the case be wrong?

Re: WHAT IS WRONG HERE?
The Model F mechanism with the 2 spring motor is perfectly legitimate. And the Model A cabinet seems fine too. They just don't belong together.
