Deluxe machine: plain ad. VIctrola XVIII

Post by Lenoirstreetguy »

This has to be one of the more pedestrian ads for a lovely machine: Victor touting their latest creation in September, 1915. Pity the marketing department missed the mark with both the machine and the advertisement.

Jim, correct me if I'm wrong, but is this not being touted by Berliner (Canada) and his marketing department...?.

Actually no: this is an American ad, plain though it is.

WOW!!....this is the first time I have seen a US ad with "Berliner Gramophone Co.,Montreal,Canadian Distributors" on it. Normally you see this when it is a Berliner Gramophone Co. (Canada) ad. Which would then mean the prices listed would be also in Canadian dollars. That is if this was a Canadian ad... ;) :).
