Recent Find: Amberola B-V
I purchased this Amberola recently and it's one you don't frequently see. It is an Amberola B-V with a serial number 44. After the Edison fire, there were several hundred Amberola V cabinets that survived. The Amberola 30/50/75 series was about to be introduced. The surviving V cabinets were fitted with Amberola 50 mechanisms and sold at a discount. Jerry Blais (info thanks to Frow's book)

A rare bird, Jerry. And with a metal grille! Similar grilles (metal) occasionally show up on B-80 Diamond Disc machines too (in the mid-4000s), but I don't know why for sure.
Congratulations.
