Uh oh. Now i'm worried this might be a hybrid. An earlier reply to my post stated that going by the serial # this was a 1923 model. The 10" & 12" buttons both work and i actually use the 10" to cue up my discs. Thoughts? ??

No, it's not a 'hybrid':

Edison actually started putting the 10/12" buttons on their machines as early as 1922, in anticipation of the projected 12" discs (which were then shelved until the LP discs came out).

I have a BC-34 from the early days of production, SN 4585 (with the smaller horn), and it also has the buttons: no indication that it was ever modified for LPs.

Bill's right - - your machine is perfectly legitimate and as noted earlier, dates from December 1923.

Judging by the 10"-12" Buttons (which are most likely disconnected), It looks like you have a 1926-1927 Model BC-34.

It also appears that the Turntable still has its Original Orange felt as well!

Nice score! It looks to be in nice shape. The Mahogany finish seems to look original as well, but kind of hard to tell.

Hi folks,

Just for clarity, I realized looking back at the pictures, the 10' - 12" buttons aren't "disconnected." The short metal bracket that interacted with the buttons is clearly visible - mounted to the top left of curved portion of the horn.
