US OPERA

Post by ambrola »

I just picked this huge machine up and of course the reproducer has problems. I talked with Paul Baker about repairing it, but thought maybe someone had one lying around?

Possibly the rarest reproducer to ever find in condition suitable for rebuild. I think rarer than hens teeth.

I've never understood that expression, as bird's don't have teeth, but these reproducers obviously do exist, however uncommon they may be.

I was talking with Paul today about fixing the one that's on it. I am packing it up and sending it to him. Its not in real bad shape, just one broken part.

that j.b. weld stuff, or something similar, can work miracles on cracked pot metal, especially if it's not terribly bad.

Then I guess "as useless as tits on a bull" would escape you too?

Does anyone have one of these reproducers that is intact? I can get them machined.

I think this is where I will get my answers. I am not looking to buy, trade or sell. I am looking for information? Now, does anyone know what is missing here. I have the part marked that has broken, but it is 1/8th or closer to the feedscrews on the machine. What is missing?
