There is a VV-XVIII on eBay now in Carmichael, California with BIN of $1,800. Not mine but wish it was. Very late serial number. Looks really nice except the top has some potentially deep scratches.

Twas me. It's a beauty at a great price. Or is this the norm now. I paid $3250 for my electric XVIII serial number 666 a couple years ago. Now to cross the country to get this one. Thank you for the heads up.

Perhaps you were paying a premium for the serial number?Waynola wrote:I paid $3250 for my electric XVIII serial number 666 a couple years ago.

is that (3250) premium at this point for an XVIII? what do these tend to go for these days (I thought at least close to 3000 if not more for clean original examples)?

I'd say this was a fair price as it was. I sold a very clean, very nice almost mint original with all albums last year after many months of advertising on this forum for $2500.
