I agree. If this were even five hours away from me, I would be all over it. The parts off the machine are probably worth twice the asking price. Bullet brakes sell for $100, right? The reproducer at least $50.

I will not part this machine out.
I was hoping someone on here could give it a good home.

Gene,
Like the others, if you were near me, I'd have already bought it. Memphis is a little far, however. I think the parts were mentioned to prove a point-that this is a good deal on a nice machine and that in parts alone is worth more than the asking price. I often rationalize a purchase that way, but have not yet parted out a machine. I am sure I will at some point, but have not had to yet. Good luck with the sale. Any trips planned near Tennessee?

I wasn't suggesting it be parted out. Just trying to demonstrate it is worth more than you are asking.

Matt/Mike,
I agree with both of you. You were pointing out that the bullet brake, needle cup, reproducer, motorboard w/motor, etc. are worth much more than I'm asking for the whole machine.
It's not about the money, but as you both pointed out, someone will get a good deal.
I appreciate what you wrote in an effort to help me in my quest to find a good home for this machine.
Christmas blessings to you both!
Gene

Gene,

I'm pretty dumb-founded that someone hasn't bought this! Unbelievable. Honestly, if I had somewhere to put it, I'd work something out with you. :(

Good luck,

I did sell the needle cutter.

Fran,
I hope you get a winning lottery ticket in your Christmas stocking.
That way you can put an addition on your home and buy more phonographs. :D

Merry Christmas to you, Gene! :D

That would be a dream come true! I'm tempted to sell off the tractor, and the 4-wheelers to make room in the garage, but we all know how garage storage can make things even worse.

I had planned on insulating and heating it when I built it, but those days are gone... :(

I like your idea best!

I've decided to take the plunge. It will be my 1st Victor to go with my Sonora Elite and Edison A-250 uprights. I sent my pm, now it's just when I can find time to go get it. In the mean time I am trying to make room. If anyone is interested in some a/v furniture and surround sound speaker stands, let me know. I'm tired of looking at these boxes in my home office and yearn for the day to be surrounded by various Talking Machines instead!!! I am willing to bring to the Wayne show and prices are negotiable. In order to feed my addiction I must find new space  ............please help :| http://cnj.craigslist.org/fuo/4780986076.html
