I'm trying to find some information for a friend of mine. After talking to my friend he says it is an inside horn School House instead of an outside horn model. I do appreciate all the help so far.
Are there any Victrola motor boards that are the same size and would be a good fit for a Victor School House?

Re: Victor School House
The Victor School House was made for quite a number of years going through several motor variations. I suspect the motor board would be the same as a Victrola made at the same time period. Your best bet would be to post good photos with measurements from the crank hole the edges of the cabinet. You could then find someone with a similar complete School machine and find out exactly what motor was used and the particulars of the motor board. It's not easy trying to complete a machine but the end results are quite rewarding. I have a late School Model tagged as a VV-XXV. It has the common two spring in one barrel Victrola motor, a fat tone arm, and a Victrola 2 reproducer. I think the motor board is the same as a common VV-XI of the same period. Jerry Blais

Here is a picture of an early School House motor. Note that the arbor comes straight out the side and attaches to the crank with no offset.

Is it the 8-7 or 8-8 Schoolhouse? I have an 8-8 and I'd gladly provide motor and motorboard photos if needed. The 8-8 uses the same motor and motorboard as the 8-9, if that's any help.
