This looks pretty cool, and the price seems fair!

There are a few problems with the machine. I have my doubts that the tone arm and reproducer are correct...they may be, but I am not confident that they are. Obviously, the shade and wire frame for the shade are incorrect. And, all of the record cases that were specific to this machine appear to be missing.

From what I remember after seeing a friend's machine, the reproducer and tonearm look correct - these don't look like they have been changed out. I am not a big fan of the current lampshade, but the shade is no big deal. You can find great silk shades that are currently made for phono lamps, if that is what you want. An original shade would probably be in ratty condition anyway. I don't know if the Modernola had specific record albums or not, but the machine seems to be in good condition and there aren't many to compare to... Looks good to me.

Why do you think the shade and wire frame is incorrect? Personally I thought it looked pretty good and it also looks authentic...

Here is an advertisement stating "Shades provided in many effects":

And here is another Modernola with a similar shade to the one being sold:

And as was already stated the tone-arm looks correct.

I think you must be referring to the frame and finial. Technically you are probably right, but it looks generally quite good - and since it is an easily replaced part of the machine it doesn't matter very much.
