Victor 6 still holding it on on Ebay

Post by fmblizz »

http://www.ebay.com/itm/VICTOR-VI-WITH- ... 8519&rt=nc

Listing ended at $4950. and seller still holding on to it.

I like the way the listing has the sellers phone number attached so that a potential buyer can contact him and he would avoid the selling fee...

Surprised Ebay let's that go..

Considering the machine has an incorrect back bracket....I think the seller did "very" well. I like how the reproducer as been angled out so grossly ....  . I believe it has a Vic 3-4 bracket.

That seems to be common practice among many dealers.

The back bracket for the Victor VI always has all gold paint while the Victors I through V have blue in with the gold paint.

Mike, that's not quite right. Only "early" American Brackets had the blueish accents. Later brackets were with gold only filigree.
However, the Vic.VI only ever had gold filigree and was a different size to other models.

If you ever see a Vic.VI with other than gold on the bracket (as seen above).....it is incorrect.

I have seen a few Vic.VI on the market lately with incorrect brackets.

The best way to check if a bracket is correct to a machine.....make sure the needle chuck touches the spindle... ;).

The horn elbow is the same size from Vic.III - Vic.VI ( the VI in gold) in the number series.
