Slightly O/T New Addition.......

Post by Neophone »

Ladies and Gentlemen,

The TMF is pleased to announce to opening of our new on-line shop:

The Talking Machine Forum Shop,

(Yeah, I know, really creative name. ;) ) We've designed a small line of TMF items-more coming soon-for everyone to enjoy (I hope!!!!!)

At present the Forum will receive 10% of the price of each item. This will help defray the costs of maintaining the Forum. Unlike the old ProBoards set-up our present situation entails some cost for the web address and server space. Anything above and beyond David's and my expenses, if any, will be donated to a charity which we will all decide on together.

Please let us know what you think of the shop and we would be happy to hear any suggestions you may have.

Regards,
John

P.S. Play around with the many many options offered of some of the products!

Listening to the Victrola fifteen minutes a day will alter and brighten your whole life.

Hey John,

Great idea to have a store. Coffe mugs, T-Shirts, mouse pads. Great products. You and David should sell the coffee mugs with the TMF logo on them, and not just blank mugs. Although allowing people to come up with their own logos is cool too.

Also, how about a baseball cap, with the logo, or your own personal logo.

As for a charity, How about Amnesty International? Or Habitat For Humanity?

Paul,

The TMF logo mug was one of the first things that John had me make. ;)

Expect this soon. John was adverse to screen-printed meshback hats (I cannot say that I blame him), and I have not yet played with converting our logo into something that could be embroidered. :D

Most of my non-work productive efforts have been focused on the TMF Label Gallery & Guide.

Thank You David. It's good to know that I can buy them with the TMF logo on them. I figure, eventually you will do other logo's? For Victor, and Edison?

Paul,

You’re quite welcome. I am not sure what logos we will be able to use (due to copyright issues)—John will have to address that question. I look forward to adding more designs, though.

You have a point there. Especially with the Victor Logo. Maybe we should just stick to our own logos.

Okay John, and David. I bought a TMF coffee mug, from the store. I am very happy to help you guys out, with this new venture, and to help keep this forum alive. I think this is a great idea. It's a great incentive for people to give money to the board, and a chairty.

I agree with Richard. Just placed an order for a T-Shirt, possibly your first customer?

I noticed you have all sorts of mugs on offer and I'm willing to bet Richard was not referring to a coffee mug! :D

Folks,

Thank you for you encouragement and your trade! I would like to possibly add mugs or t-shirts with various talking machine manufacturers, however I have to find out how to inquire about copyright ownership. I figured the Grey Gull would almost certainly be public domain since they have been defunct for so long. I have two t-shirt ideas we're just waiting to sit down and edit the images-I think you'll like them!

Regards,
John
