Re: FOR SALE: Electronically Restored Edison C-4 - $500
This is a 1929 Edison. The last Edison phonograph made! yes, please don't part it out! This is a great machine. I've owned two of them and still own one which I wouldn't sell. they sound great when rebuilt and this one has already been rebuilt by the best experts in the field!!! You almost never find them that way. electrical records from the late 20s and 30s sound great on this machine. Good radio too with Edison's Light-O-Matic feature which is fun to look at in the dark. you can also play Internet radio, FM, cds, your Ipod, or Ipad, MP3 player just by plugging into the phono jacks in the back!!! Again it sounds great! Buy it now! ps - I am not the seller.

Glad you made the sale. As my wife just said to me,"Now it won't be there to haunt you anymore". I really did want it and almost bought it when you made the last price reduction, but I just couldn't justify it. I'm very happy to hear that it went to a good home.

Wonderful!
Someone got a heck of a deal!
I, too was just about to pull the trigger if the machine had not sold by the time I returned home later this week.

These are incredibly rare and to find one that's been professionally rebuilt at that price is indeed a great deal.
If rarity were the only measure, it would be worth several thousand but they they are big, heavy, very hard to move.
I bet both buyer and seller are delighted.

Congrats and I hope it is going to a really good home where it will be appreciated. I was salivating over it, but just too far away.

Congrats! That was a deal for the new owner.
I love these machines (I do prefer a C-2 which is capable of playing DD's and Laterals), but do not have the room for it or the budget at this time.
These are hard to find and can really pump out some bass. Sounds good playing "Susianna" on a Edison 78 record.
