New Edison Cylinder Machines Times Three!

Post by HisMastersVoice »

I've started the new year off right by acquiring 3 great Edison cylinder machines! :D

The first of the 3 arrived on Friday, an all original branded case Edison GEM model A. This one came from Gene Manno's amazing collection of 40+ years. This is my first GEM, I couldn't be happier with it! The brand is actually much more vibrant in person, I think there was a bit of a shadow happening in this photo.

For some reason, I feel compelled to collect all of the GEM models now... :?

Brandon must be flush....time to offer him your machines while he has the dough..... .

Nice little machine Brandon (coming from a non-Edison collector)... ;).

I believe your description of the brand was the very reason Edison opted the use of a decal on Gems going forward.

Hello,
What a nice looking Gem. Great thing about Edison Gems is that they really don't take up much room. You can always find room for another.

Very nice, plus they don't take up much space. Jerry

Very nice! I decided against that machine mostly because the horn wouldn't fit in my newly ordained "phonograph cabinet". I'm still thinking about going for the drip pan but I need to sell my Amberola V first.
