Can I use this on a Standard Model B to play 4 minute cylinders, or do I need a Model B with a conversion?

If your Standard is not equipped with a 2/4 minute attachment (called "Amberol Attachments" at the time), it will not play 4 minute cylinders. You need the proper gearing to cut the feedscrew speed in half, PLUS the proper reproducer with a stylus half the size.

There's an informative article on the various types of cylinder records and the proper reproducers to play them here:

The disc tips are first, then the cylinder tips. :)

As other post indicates, you would need to have the 2/4 minute gearing. I had one a short while ago, but it has been sold. Might be someone else on the forum willing to part with one.
