Nice Cabinet on CL - (What the heck was it?)

Post by Cody K »

A handsome cabinet, though empty now. Seems to still have slats for record storage. Anyone recognize what it might have been?

Victor Electrola 10-69. A few of these were fitted with RE-45 mechanisms in 1930.

I've yet to see a nice unmolested 10-69 either in person or in pictures. Whoever gutted this one did an interesting thing adding useable drawers.

Thank you kindly for the ID, Uncle! And Bob, now that I know the model number, yeah -- even the one on Paul Edie's site doesn't show any innards, though they could be in shadow I suppose. And that seems to be the only picture of one even google can round up. Though there is this screen cap on the forum from 2011, and that, according to the discussion, has replacement parts:

Must have been a very fine machine indeed. A shame it's gutted.
