Just picked up a nice Edison Standard B from a board member and would like to use it with a cygnet horn but the case is not drilled. If you have a spare Standard B case that is already drilled and is in decent condition, please contact me. I will purchase outright, or trade for any of the following:
Edison Standard A case needing refinishing
Edison Standard B case in good condition
Records - I have many, many cylinder, Diamond Discs, etc.
I am also interested in buying a cygnet horn and crane. I already have a nice, original bracket.
Thanks,
Kevin

Why don't you just drill the cabinet you have? The back bracket needs to be centered with the mandrel...

Because this machine has survived 100+ years without drill holes and as such might be of more interest to someone as is, rather than adding new drill holes.Curt A wrote:Why don't you just drill the cabinet you have? The back bracket needs to be centered with the mandrel...
You'll find there have been several threads on the board where people have suggested similar trades, e.g., swapping a 2M machine for a 2/4 machine rather than upgrading it. To each his own...
