WANTED: Herzog Cylinder Cabinet Drawer Catches (6)

Post by HisMastersVoice »

Looking for 6 drawer catches for a Herzog cylinder cabinet I just got, I have 2 of them, the other 6 are missing. I also need to find a source for pegs at some point if anyone could be so kind as to point me in the right direction.

I need 10 of those Herzog drawer catches myself. Can't find them for years.

I looked in to having them made at one time, it was futile in the day. Not sure what ground it to a halt, i believe it was the shear numbers you have to get made to even think about a rational price. OBTW it is two different pieces, they are distinctly a pair. There is a right and left so it would require two dies...really complicated for a simple idea. Maybe this is where 3D printing could provide some benefit. John

I have been looking at having them made via sand casting and out of bronze. If we could get to 125 pairs it might bring the cost into reality. I was quested $1500 for a mold, and then $12.50 per pair and I need 6 sets. I have made up something that works but its not great looking and it sure is not right. I just didn't want to get into the phonograph parts business.
