Several Phonographs For Sale

Post by FellowCollector »

Hi Everyone, I recently purchased a few phonographs from an estate and I really don't have an available area for them in our home. If you are interested in any of these please contact me at [email protected]

1. Standard Talking Machine Model A (red decal on front of cabinet) with black petal Columbia screw in horn. In nice overall condition. Plays nicely. I rebuilt the reproducer. This one has not had the spindle modified so it takes the Standard Disc records. I will include 5 with the machine. I would like to break even by getting what I paid for it: $700.

2. Edison Standard Model A (banner decal on cabinet front) in original brief production green oak finish. Has a nice original large blue flowered horn (i.e., horn has original painted flowers inside) and original stamped patented 1904 under-cabinet style crane. Has nice sounding C reproducer and 2 and 4 minute gear attachment and nice original gear cover. Also has the early factory equipped clip-style wax shavings container (carriage mounted). Only the earlier models were equipped with these and they're hard to find today since many were removed by the original owners and discarded. I would like to get $795 for the entire outfit.

3. Edison Amberola model 30. Nice sounding, even playing and very dependable Edison. A couple of small veneer pieces missing on the cabinet sides but otherwise in very nice original condition. Cabinet finish is very nicely preserved. Asking $425 with five 4-minute cylinders.

Thanks for your time.

Doug
