I think this might be the Silvertone radio-phonograph-wire recorder combination.

Cant say I've seen that grille before either. It doesn't have that classic Brunswick look to it, but it looks original. I wonder if this was a fairly early model?

well, the VV-XI table model is certainly not common and this is oak- but $650 is a bit steep.

"Edison Diamond Disc 78rpm Records - $200 (Hollywood, CA)"

I checked this out, some collector was culling seconds. Most were etched-label Hawaiian and those that had paper labels were scuffed and worn.

But the cool thing was, he had some old cars. One I could see he said was from 1920. It looked like a balloon with big carriage wheels with an oval window in back. In this antique phonograph hobby 1920 is rather late. My oldest phono is 1901, oldest record 1902, and I have dozens of records from before 1910. The old car put the dates in perspective.

At an auction I saw an unrestored 1926 Model T. It had wooden wheels. Yet 1926 is the end of the acoustic era. My 1926 Orthophonic is nearly worthless and is in the garage waiting for a new veneer on top. The record I am listening to at this moment is from 1922. I got it free in a box of records that came with a phonograph. Older than that car!
