Anyone in Oregon who is going to the Wayne show and is looking for a silvertone phonograph, I would be more than willing to pick this up https://cnj.craigslist.org/atq/4885989360.html and swap you for the L door. :D ;) :? Any takers?

I can get it from Oregon to Union for fuel money. See if you can get someone to take it from Union towards you. Jerry Blais

Thank you for the offer Jerry, and with gas at $2 a gallon, I must say, a very generous offer. Having recently purchased a xvi, I have been conflicted with purchasing a new lid, albums, and a few minor parts or finding a more pristine machine. What is the correct answer? No one knows when bitten by the phonograph bug. You just go with the flow. :coffee:

I would just like the record boxes for my XVI. Now what are the chances they would sell them separate? lol

You are correct Jerry but I have 2 L-doors with no albums/boxes so I would take them. They look to be in pretty good condition.

I wonder if it would be worth the trouble for someone to recreate the record folders / boxes for the L-Door victrolas ?

For 30 bucks that Silvertone may not be too bad a deal if the motor isn't completely trashed.

If I had the room and a workshop, I would buy it to work on my restoration techniques. It's practically in my backyard so I would be willing to pick it up and bring it to the Wayne show if anyone is interested.
