Columbia Q carriage sleeve
I noticed while cleaning, that the carriage sleeve to my 1st style Columbia Q has a split in the tube. It is on the underside and not visible. Would this cause any functional problems with the machine? Should I replace it? or maybe fill with epoxy?

DO NOT fill with epoxy, since that will cause more drag to occur. The part should move smoothly and freely and if it is doing that now, just leave it...
