Hello,
I am trying to help a friend get his Grafonola up and running. I need either a complete working motor or just the double spring barrel with two good springs. I am not sure which table top model it is but it is either the " Jewel" or the model 35. I have included a picture of the motor we are trying to complete.
thanks
Pete

I should have posted this in the Trader section. Not sure how to move it over?

Re: Wanted: Motor for Table top Columbia Grafonola
Pete,
I have a $35 "Jewel" from between 1912 ( latest patent date on License label ) and 1914 ( when Baumbach says the model was introduced ).
The motor-board deck on mine is fixed, and the motor it attached to a round, blued-steel ( or Russian-Iron ) plate, that is secured to the wood with a couple of round-head wood screws.
I'm not sure, but I think it might be a single=spring motor?
I think the machine you have pictured is a little bit later ?
Can you share the serial number from the motor plate, and perhaps pictures of the top-side of the motor deck ?

Re: Wanted: Motor for Table top Columbia Grafonola
Hello,
as I said I am trying to help find the parts for a friend and so do not have access to the machine as he lives an hour away. I am thinking the model is a Columbia "C". The Model "D" has three springs and this one only has two. I do have a picture of the label on the bottom of the case. it is pretty dirty but you can make out where it says the machine cost $75.00 in Canada.
