Re: BusyBee on Roch. NY CL
its an early type busy bee grand the later ones had the front mount bracket mounted on the panel of the case not on the bottom like this machine
the machine had the slug removed from the platter so that it could play normal records
for the rest it seems ok
a little warning for after buying
busy bee machines are top heavy never put on a small shelf it will topple off one day
always put the machine on a large flat surface this could be the floor, a table or a big shelf
when you do want to put it on a shelf buy some small clamps and clamp it down

Re: BusyBee on Roch. NY CL
I bought my "Mackie Music Co." Edison 4 latch Model A Standard at a reasonable price (IMO) from Dennis, he's a very nice guy. He and his wife own an antique store on Ridge Road in the Clarkson/Brockport area. He responds well to personal contact, and I had a great time chatting with him in person last March. He invited me to his home, which is a collectors meca!
American Pickers did a show with them, and went through his house picking a few items. Show #88, "Haunted Honeyhole" was the episode, and you can probably watch it streaming, I would think.
He had some very interesting things in his personal collection at the time.
With all that having been said, $850 seems a little high, but I'd be willing to bet he'll barter.
Best,
Fran

Francis; "i" for him, "e" for her
