Very Elaborate Brunswick Cabinet

Can anybody tell me what model Brunswick this is? Has a 2 spring Heinemann motor and a 3 way Ultona reproducer. This is about as elaborate a cabinet as I have ever seen! Even the needle holder piece is carved. Has a bubble level in front of the turntable. Any info would be appreciated.

Looks like a model 350. See Wakeman's Brunswick book, which you can download for free from the Antique Phonograph Society's website. Yours is shown on page 170.

The level was a good idea, especially if one had Pathé records.

I took the motor out and it is a 3 spring motor. The spring barrels and spring barrel cover plates are nickel plated on the outside. They cleaned up beautifully. Took the motor apart, cleaned the gears and checked them, they are in superb condition. Put it back together and it spins very easily and quiet. Never seen a motor like this before, a Heineman style Brunswick with 3 springs. Can hardly wait to get the new springs in it.

Still needs a reproducer. Did this come originally with a 3 way gold Ultona or something else? Looks like an Ultona tone arm but that's all there is.

OK, I'm confused..... you wrote it has a Ultona reproducer....

. The tone arm looks like it's for a Ultona (a good part of the arm is gone). Maybe the Wakeman book will help...

Looks like an Ultona tone arm to me Cliff, it seems to have the 'telescopic' feature that I believe was only
available on the Ultona 2 or 3 way reproducers. I'm not sure if a 2 way is also considered an Ultona, but I don't
think I've ever seen a gold plated 2 way.

OK, I'm confused..... you wrote it has a Ultona reproducer....

The folks from whence it came said it had one and I repeated what they said even though I had not seen it. They still say there is one, but they can't find it. Turns out there is no reproducer for this at present.

I'm not sure if the head in this ad on Kijiji is goldplated or not. It might be worth contacting the seller in Southern Ontario. This is a really good price.
