You Tube Mess, anyone know how to fix this?

I had been finally had been happliy putting up videos.. I had one with a comment so I got the little box that said I had to add a name in order to be able to do that. Seeing that after a while you will get more comments I put in my LarryH rather than my whole name they wanted me to use. But I thought it said it wouldn't effect my Acousticedison ID I am, (or was) using. This computer stuff just totally looses me. Then I noticed that the video I was tying to load failed. When I clicked the reason it said I didn't have an account. I have no idea how to straighten out this mess. I have tired goggling it but still haven't see the way to find our accounts and then make changes. I really don't understand why you can't comment under the name you have on the video?

Anyone know a simple way to find where I can try to make it work again? (I doubt it). I don't find a link to your personal settings or account what ever they call it. It was bad enough navigating I Movie but now this and I am ready to crawl under the covers an never come out..

A friend suggested I open a new account and load all the videos to that. Perhaps I could do that but do any of you who post videos know what went wrong when I tired to appease google and fill in a second name which then became the name of my channel. Trouble is they now say the pass word or ID aren't valid. You would think even if it changed the name of the channel the pass word should work? I can't find anywhere on that You Tube site where it shows your account information so far?

I have an account on Youtube and have a couple of videos on it. I have had no problem like you did. One thing you have to do of course is when you try to answer a posters comment, you have to be logged in. I will repeat you must be logged in to your account in order to post comments or upload videos.

Wouldn't I be logged in if I have been loading videos every day? Just wondering, I really don't understand it. Also when I go to You Tube it has my ID posted on the top so that would mean its recognizing me. Marc did you navigate that second box that opens and says you have to have another name added?

Hi Larry,

I do not know for sure because I have never attempted to
load anything to Youtube, but here goes anyway:

From what I have heard from one very reliable source
who does load videos to youtube, he always says that
youtube is very finicky about any changes or alterations
to an existing video.

He has said that in a lot of cases, he gets so frustrated
with it, the video must be deleted, then a new version
of it re-loaded to correct these sorts of problems.

Sounds like maybe you are having one of those times.
