I have been creating a lot of videos with to me a seeming loss of sound quality. This is the very first one I did several years ago. It sounds pretty much crisp an clean with nice resonates.

I quit after that recording due to the camera falling off the stand I had it one. When I tired another at that time it had a distorted and sort of buzzy sound. So when I tired it latter this year I found it to not be too bad as in this early one. But still I detect a different quality, some creeping overtones not heard in that first one.

Sadly that camera which has a very small case wants to fall forward and land on the floor which it has done a couple times. By now I think the sound is distant and tends to sound over driven, I took today to muting the music some which seemed to help but still the up front sound seems missing and way too much echoey effect. That might be the room but the room hasn't changed. I made this today and I think its more distant and the volume levels seem faulty. Maybe I am just sick of hearing them but I don't think so.
To me the sound is not up front like the first one. The piano records I did yesterday seemed to reverberate as well. I am wondering if something about the camera audio is not reacting as it was?

I fixed the links I don't know how I got the same one on each since I thought I copied the link off each record.. Well I am no computer whiz and maybe I am just tired of hearing records too.

I think that there is a slight difference, but not too bad. Of course, my ear is not trained at all.
Love the video of "In the Garden of Tomorrow", btw. One of my first and most treasured DDs. I just wish my copy was a little less worn out...

Yes I think that the Garden of tomorrow is the way they camera should sound. Its doesn't have the reverberation issues the latter ones sometimes have. It might be that the camera was a bit closer and my room is so reverberate that perhaps that spot is worse in picking it up. I probably need to make one of a different machine I have next door at my moms home, its in a larger room and not so prone to overloading ones ears.

That will probably help a lot. I forget if it was on the forum or not, but somewhere I remember reading that the room in which your machine is situated, acts as an extension of the horn itself.

I moved the camera up about a foot and this video appears to be much closer to sounding like the machine. I have a weird living room. Good for sensitive sounds but doesn't like volume.
