I saw this machine on eBay earlier today. It's just GORGEOUS! That's the 2nd Idelia I've seen on eBay in the past 6 years or so. A friend of mine who has been collecting for 60 years had an Edison Idelia when he was around my age but then sold it for $300. He still talks about it decades later.

It's been here before? I'm beginning to wonder about this auction now, too...
You might actually be right. :?

and a note to all you doubters! ;)
PLEASE NOTE: There have been some questions on Talking Machine Forum about this machine and the pictures listed. I bought this machine at auction in Germany. I have reused several of the photos from the auction. I am a long term collector with a small high end collection. I am selling several items to downsize. All are rare and/or mint examples. My eBay rating is excellent. Bid with confidence that you are buying from a knowledgeble expert, especially with Edison and Canadian Berliner machines.

It is indeed the same machine that had sold in Germany.
I did reuse many pictures from the sale. Actually the net is full of pictures of this machine.
The machine is beautiful and more then complete, with extra parts.

Whoever buys it will be lucky to have it. The horn is amazing, all oxidized hardware....

I'm selling a few machine to help with a house renovation, so...., some rare stuff will go.
CDN Berliners anyone...?

This is my machine from my collection.

I'm very surprised that no one bid. The starting price is reasonable.
These machines, complete as this, rarely appear from collections.

And those that have questioned me and the validity of the auction, please explain why, I'm sure it impacted bids. I have collected for 36 years and I do know many forum members well. No issues buying from me. As described, high end, rare. Cheap? No... But fair. Go find another.
