Explain This Columbia AH Motor

Post by Talkophone »

I was told by a Columbia Phonograph man that Columbia didn't make a male threaded crank. I bought a late model AH with a male threaded crank. Looks like to me it came from the factory that way. Check out the pictures. Any help or explanation would help.

Show a photo of what the crank looks like, (the whole thing, not just the threaded end). Seeing all those stray hacksaw marks in the motor housing and around the crank shaft area, I'm lead to believe that some changes have been made.

Jerry, Yes you may be right. Guess i never looked that close to the picture. Actually the machine didn't come with a crank but the person I bought it from just had a crank lying around and gave it to me.
