New Pathé machine - reproducer question

I recently picked up a nice external horn Pathé machine and I'm rebuilding the reproducer, which is the vertical cut type with the rubber tube connector protruding directly from the back. I have replacement rubber tubing for the connector, but can't figure out the best way to remove the old and replace with the new. Is there an easy way to do this?

There should be two pins securing it to the back of the reproducer. After those have been removed I'm afraid it may be good old cutting and scraping.
Be very careful when you screw the front bezel back on. It is pot metal and mine broke just from the tension of the new rubber gaskets. I used Exhibition type tubing, which everyone told me to use. I ended up buying another reproducer and only installed the tubing behind the mica before screwing the bezel back on. Then i very carefully pushed in the front tubing between bezel and mica, much like in a one-piece reproducer body. That worked and still does.

Brian, I wonder if using a heat gun on the tubing will soften it enough to slide out the metal parts...??. Naturally you will want to wear leather gloves to protect your hands.

Try a heat gun, I have used them to remove rubber tubing in doing repairs for people.

thanks for the suggestions. I've worked with a few of these before. this one, though, does not have any pins through the collars to attach the rubber running through them. they just seem extremely tight. would they be glued somehow? I'll try to locate a heat gun and see what that might do. I'm wondering as well whether it might be worth just patching the cracks in the rubber that's there now... it's not at all dried out.
