Bide your time.
This one has some issues... missing crank-knob, missing corner block ( or several ), dead finish, grubby bed-plate...
Not sure this one is exactly a bargain at $180 plus fuel & time.

Assuming the reproducer stylus is good and so are both springs, $180 is fine. The missing pieces (crank handle, lift lever handle, trim) should be no problem to find at minimal cost. It's not perfect, but it's still a nice machine, and a workhorse, for a relatively small amount of money.

Sounds like one of the $200 Credenza debates...
I agree that if the machine is close-by, it might be worthwhile, but in my opinion, it has enough issues just viewing the listing photos, that would discourage me from traveling any great distance for it. Winsleydale is about 750 miles away from it.
That's just my 2-cents worth... just suggesting that Winsleydale not "grieve long winter nights over it"...

I'll be about twenty miles from it on my way to Union. I'll pick it up and deliver it to Union. It'll cost one tank of diesel and two chocolate malts at Union. That translates into $100. Jerry

Love ya Jerry, and I'd love to say yes, but if I buy that, how can I expect to be able to pay you what I already owe you?

You'll find a nice one... take your time.
I've got a C-19 in Mahogany ( in better shape than this one ) that was made redundant by a much nicer one in oak from forum member Gemering.
I am not looking forward to trying to sell to Mahogany job; kind of a mahogany equivalent to the proverbial "white elephant".

Before you spend your money, check out the Stanton phono auction coming up on April 30 thru May 2. I don't know where you live in the Detroit area but it is not a bad drive and it's a good place to find the relatively common machines at low prices. You can download their catalog or you can call to get on their mailing list.
