I have a handful of Columbia Viva-Tonal records and I can say it seems they are less common than the Victor Orthophonic records. I think the Columbia Viva-Tonal records are somewhat thicker and durable than the Orthophonic records.
I am thinking that radio probably caused the slowdown in Columbia sales.
