Victrola VV-2-55 Turntable Removal

Post by pmonteith »

I just found a 2-55 in need of some tlc. I'm not sure if the platter is supposed to slide off on this model or use another method like a c-clip. It seems like a c-clip design, but I can't see where it might be to access it. I tried searching but didn't find any specifics addressing this.

What say you, wizards of the portable phonograph?

Threaded spindle. Put a rod through the hole in the spindle and unscrew the top, then lift off the turntable.

The example on the Victrola site appears to be maroon, too
