I wonder what happens to that record when the reproducer is lowered? Immediate destruction if it would even touch the record without being adjusted. That record is so much thinner than a DD.

I was thinking the same thing! The evil twin in me wants to see...

This combo sold for $151.00.

Potentially a very nice deal, IMHO, if picking it up in person. (Of course I am more than a little biased toward these "little" guys... ;) )

Two questions:

1) Is this an original finish ( seems to be the same, inside and out ), and if so, what is it ?

2) Photo 3: is that a needle-cup in the back left-hand corner ?

1) Not sure. Weren't these made from something called "gum wood"?

2) Maybe that's for your used diamonds?

To me, the finish looks like it may have been partially removed, mine has a similar look to it. Almost like someone took some alcohol (or something) to wipe it down and removed the finish instead.

I was wondering the same thing with the needle receptacle; might explain why there was a lateral cut record on the machine, too.
