Not so --- some late VV-XVIIs also had the door knobs with small concentric circles on their faces. These later VV-XVIIs usually also have Victrola No. 2 reproducers instead of the earlier Exhibitions.

I've never seen such an example of a late XVII with the 130 type knobs on any examples I have ever owned, but then I've never had one with anything but an Exhxibition. :oops:

Our 17 has ringed knobs and and Exhibition. Every 17 I have seen have these ringed knobs... :?.

Wayne, is yours a US or Canadian model, we already know there are cosmetic differences between the two.

I'm not interested in any kind of debate, all I was doing was sharing what I have seen. I've personally never seen any XVII with the fancier knobs. Perhaps they switched early in production to the later style. Mine were all relatively low serial numbers, below 1000 and didn't have what I always thought were 130 knobs.
