Seems to be some interest in this thing. Anyone have the horn/pipe that goes with it??

Re: Edison DD tuning record on Ebay
Previous threads have indicated that the sleeve that accompanies the record says that the dealer needs to get a pipe separately; Edison did not supply one.

That is only the 2nd tuning record I have seen offered for sale. If every dealer received just one, then I figure those must be at least as rare as "Greetings From The Bunch At Orange". In fact, I have seen many more "Greetings" records than I have tuning records.
Does anyone know how many Edison dealers there were? I think I read someplace about 400+.

I don't know how many dealers there were, but I've seen the tuning disc a few times and I have owned two copies, one of which I still have. I just got a copy of the "Bunch at the Orange" disc in near mint condition, which I was much happier to find. Personally, I find DD test pressings to be far more fascinating since they sometimes have unissued titles or takes on them. A large collection I bought part of a few years ago was peppered with DD tests and two tuning discs, the tests to me were the real pearls, I'll never part with those!

In the Edison Phonograph Monthly Jan 1909 it says there are 13 thousand Edison Dealers.VintageTechnologies wrote:That is only the 2nd tuning record I have seen offered for sale.
