Greetings!
I have a thing for ornate cabinets, but Google and flip through references as i have, I cannot find this anywhere...
I don't think its a British hmv type vii or an odd berliner type j. Any ideas? Looks like it housed a beveled motor... Maybe it's just a Monarch upper cabinet dropped into another (who knows what) base frankenmachine. Oh, i bought it on eBay.

Re: Identification of cabinet
The detail that stands out to my mind, is that the crank escutcheon and the (front? rear?) bracket holes appear to be on opposite sides of the case.
A front mount rear-wind, as in the early Zonophones (although those tended to have a centered crank escutcheon), or a front wind rear-mount?
It is, as the king of Siam would say, "a puzzlement"...

Not HMV. I would guess Odeon. There was a lot of imitation of major brands in Europe.

Well that and the orientation of the speed control not being tangentially to the turntable suggested a very early Victor machine to me.. Well, at least not a later Victor machine.

So... Like, since this is my first post... And it seems like maybe euro machine people might be helpful... Should I post over on that section too? Sorry if that's a dumb question....
