I really wonder what that thingy in the front is supposed to be? A horn rest?
With the external horn one can finally use the internal horn slats for record storage. :lol:

I have to give a horrified nod to who ever fabricated that back bracket from sheet metal & the original internal horn bracket. There''s a VV-50 trashed somewhere AND the Crescendo soundbox is a surprise

The Crescendo soundbox is not what one would expect to find in the USA. It was made by Paillard for Decca UK from 1914 to 1926.
