Phonophan79,

Nope not quite. Good guess though.

I'll have to check at home, but is it from a Banner Records sleeve?

Based on the overall high quality of the artwork, along with the style of dress the dancers are wearing, and the characteristic corner molding on the machine, itself, I'd guess that it was culled from a VTMCo add (possibly a record catalog supplement); circa 1924/early 1925.

Shane,

Are there? PM me. Ortho_Fan, don't forget I've altered the image somewhat-I've colorized it and replaced the background.

French (or German) Ultraphone picture record - probably Adalbert Lutter & his Jazz Orchestra?

Folks,

Shane has provided me with a copy of a different record label that used the same graphic on their sleeve-so I can't say with certainty that one or another of you may not be right as well. I'll wait a day or two just to see if there are any other answers before I reveal my answer.

Folks,

Shane forwarded yet another record sleeve with the very same design. So I can only conclude this was a third party generic design which may have been sold to hundreds of record companies. OH WELL!

BTW mine was from a Broadway sleeve.

John
