I have to start thinning my inventory
, beginning with redundant machines.For your consideration is a decent C-19 Diamond Disc player, s/n SM 145343. Finish is red mahogany, in average condition. There are "ghost-rings" on the lid, but they are not white. I have done nothing to the finish beyond vacuuming and wiping-down with a dust-rag. Grille cloth is fragile and beginning to tear, but I believe it to be the original gold silk material. Plays decently. I have not looked at the stylus under magnification, but have not observed it making scratches in the "dead wax" at the center of a Diamond Disc. Glue joints appear to be tight, and all corner blocks and doo-dads are intact, veneer is tight. Japan black on bed-plate is good, but some loss of gold around speed control. A decent, solid machine. Stood in my dining room until I acquired a C-19 in oak from gemering.
I have tried to take pictures that give an honest representation of the cosmetic condition of the machine.
