Probably a silly question.

Since I started collecting cylinder records, I have thrown away so many 2 min wax that were not playable due to chips, cracks, needle drops, mold etc. It seems a shame that there is no use for these or is there?

No candle making. I thought maybe they could be shaved down for recording( the ones that are not broken or cracked)?

Melt them over trout or green beans or whatever for a quiok and easy hollandaise sauce.

Edit : I was only kidding about the above advice. I wouldn't actually advise anyone to try this.

Someone needs to make Nipper molds to fill with melted cylinders... Little Black Nipper.

Generally, black wax cylinders are too hard for decent recording, and tend to wear down shaver blades and recording styli.
