What an exciting discovery. A mahogany Victor V is so unusual and I've never seen a nickel Victor Flower horn. Great outfit! Jerry Blais

Thanks for the info and comments thus far. The phonograph is currently in transit from interstate (couldn't bring it back on the plane) so I'll post motor pics etc after it arrives. Cheers, mario

Mario, that is not very dedicated of you.... . I brought mine back on the plane with me . In fact, I had five wooden crates with me on that trip (the hot-air machine was in one). Not too sure how my Wife talked them into it.....but she did.. ;). I would be far too nervous to let others handle such a big and heavy machine. I hope you removed the motor off the board..??.

Please post better pcs when you get it home. Here is a pic of the motor in mine. I assume yours is the same...??. Please check your PM.

Actually by chance one of my good friends was in Sydney with his family and after a post on Facebook responded to say that he could drive it down to Melbourne for :)

They should be back tomorrow. :)

Well, in that case....you are very dedicated and I retract my comment....  ;). I'm sure many of us would love to hear what you discover about the nickel plated brass horn. What a horn. Is there any chance it's HMV..?.
Is your motor the same as I posted..?.

Here is a scan (curiosity of George P.) of your model in a 1917 Victor gate fold flyer.

Well I've had the machine serviced but have left the cosmetics exactly as I found them in the original condition. I've also placed the Victor V in Mahogany up on eBay feel free to take a look at some more pics :)
