Those picture post cards back when the one of the Victor VI was made, were usually a "gift" when you bought flower seeds or a magazine subscription back in those days. My grandmother told me that and that the family photos that you see in the bubble glass frames are almost always the same thing. But they would enlarge and crop the photo to an odd size, as those bubble glass picture frames almost always are, and then you had to buy the frame (If you wanted it) when they showed back up with the print of your free family photo. Minnie was cheap and so all of those family pictures are in frames much bigger than the print. Or you might get something like a half dozen of the postcards to send off to friends et. so that's why they usually show someone standing by some recent purchase, like the guy with his new Victor, or the postcards someone in front of a piano or pump organ or even in front of their house. I used to wonder why all those pictures like that got taken in the first place, it's kind of fascinating, and fortunate for us 100+ years later.

Look at the printing on the top sleeve in the Victor/Pathé picture. I'd be willing to bet it reads "Disque Pathé".
