WANTED: Columbia AH Motor

Post by cweastlick »

Another project of mine. I've had this AH for years but always had the wrong motor in it. The cabinet is the older version of the AH with the single spring motor. Any help would be appreciated!!

The Columbia AH always had a double spring motor. There are two types: The earliest one had a spur gear drive and an off-center crank. The later ones had the more conventional motor with the push-pull speed control.

Hmmm, maybe that's why I've been having a hard time finding a motor. I must have had some bad info. That's why I like this site so much. Thanks for the correction :D .

This is a center hole crank on a "square" cabinet with the columns on the corners. So, now that I know what it is I'm looking for...if anyone has a motor for sale let me know.
P.S. Steve the motor that is currently in it is not the right one. It is a single spring from an early small table top grafonola with the brake and speed control on one slide bar. It looks fine and plays well but it is not original, obviously.
