FOR SALE- NEW PRICE: Edison DD Duncan Stop/Reproducer - $145

Post by kendphono »

This is a hard to find electric Duncan stop for the Edison DD machines. The sale includes the correct reproducer, in mint condition. It has the original reproducer carrier and the original wiring. The only wire that is not original is the link from the reproducer to the stop. Payment is by cash or check. No Paypal. Buyer pays shipping and insurance. If you have any questions contact me at [email protected].

There were some questions about this reproducer. The reproducer and electric parts came from the same person many years ago. They were not in a machine. The reproducer appears to be 100% authentic. Where the nickel plated parts are, I have no Idea. If anyone wants this set and has a machine with nickel plated parts, I will strip the gold off and plate the levers in Watts Nickel. This is what the original plating was.

Interesting...I wonder what the story of this reproducer is? I've never seen a nickel plated Electric Automatic Stop reproducer before, or one utilizing the early style floating weight -- with the stylus mounting flange -- either.

I notice that the solenoid assembly and lever parts are appropriately gold plated.

Did these all come from the same Phonograph? And can you tell me what model it was? I'd like to know more... :)

I have had these parts for many years. They came from the same collector and were not in a machine. The reproducer is like new. I can't tell you any more about them.

Ken, could you take a picture of the hinge block cap showing the screws for me?

Thank you, Ken! That's perfect. Can you tell me the serial number, I can't quite make it out.
