While watching some of Tim Gracyk's videos on YouTube, I was intrigued by an image that appeared briefly: an advertisement for the "Land-O-Phone Home Recording System".
The photo shows a gentleman speaking into the elbow (minus horn) of what appears to be a Victor "Monarch Special/D": the reproducer is replaced with a vertical recorder. There does not seem to be any mechanical feed visible: perhaps the system used pre-grooved blanks?
Tim does not know any background on the ad: can anyone find any further info about this scheme?
