Yeah, maybe. How to account for that dark stain there? This, of course, is a VV-XI pre-1918; 1917 was the last year for the medallion carvings on the upper front corner posts, clearly seen in the photograph. It seems to have the smaller taper tube appropriate for the OE Exhibition sound box, not the "fat tone arm" introduced for the no. 2 at the same time as the medallions carvings were simplified. Both sound boxes are pictured. Neither of the other tone arms is OE for this machine, that's for sure! This might be a good buy for a bill, providing it's mechanically sound, but who knows what can be done for the finish?

Kenosha Wi. Home of The Nash Motor Car Company----went there back around 1970, not to look at a phonograph but to the Nash Car show and flea market. Could not find a place to sleep---Kenosha PD were good hosts. Yes, you can crank the Nash too and with a VV-50 fits right in.

It's a very early production model. Note how the upper sound doors extend the full width even with the lower storage doors. I think this was only done for less than a year. The later ones are inset

Good point---hadn't noticed the doors. The horn doors on my 1917 Model G aren't as wide as the record storage doors.

I've got a X, XI, and a couple XVI's that share this same feature. All early machines from 1912 I think.

The gold arm is a converter for Diamond Disk machines. You could use the #2 sound box on that.
