FOR SALE: SCARCE Victor Tea-Cart VV-IX - $750
I have for sale a seldom seen Victor phonograph. It is a VV-IX with a matching Tea-Cart base cabinet. This is the only one I have seen in over 30 years of collecting. I would prefer not to ship this one. I can deliver it for free to the upcoming Union phonograph show. Asking price is $750 which is pretty much what I paid for it several years ago.

Interesting with the satinwood-inlay and floral decoration.
Does this machine have the "crescent"-style speed-control and tab-brake ?

The "pushmobile" carts for the Victrola IX were made by the Schloss Brothers of New York City between 1915 and 1920 as I recall. They sold pretty poorly judging by the few that have survived. They were also made for a Columbia table model - again, as I recall.

Interesting... Thanks for the video, Doug !
Yours is an early IX, while Phonophan's is a bit later, with the "footed" cabinet, which I think is post-1913.
I am curious about the inlay and floral decoration... perhaps an upgrade by Schloss Bros. ?

Re: FOR SALE: SCARCE Victor Tea-Cart VV-IX $750
I have been asked to post some more pictures. The stenciling is painted on and looks original. The case could use a good polish. There are also some minor issues with the lid hinge where some of the original screws came through the top a tiny bit. The rarity of these outweighs the minor condition issues. Please PM me with any more questions. I don't know why my camera isn't taking pictures that show the same color. It is more of the dark brown like in the last few pictures.

I am gathering up items to take to the Union show. If anyone would like this rare tea-cart VV-IX please let me know by Wednesday evening. Otherwise I don't know if I will have room for it in my pickup. If it is pre-sold I will make room for it. I am open to offers.

You might edit your title to reflect your new price which I think is a great value. Jerry
